Getting To Know Your Portrait

In order to get the best portrait of you, I like to have a "getting to know your portrait" session, which allows me to get to know you, and the story you wish your portrait to tell. It also allows you to get to know me and feel comfortable prior to the photo shoot.
During the consultation session I might ask questions about..
Hobbies or sports
Work
Children
Family
Favorite color(s)
Favorite art form.... traditional/abstract etc.
How you best express your own talents.... (music, painting, writing, etc.)
What are your life style preferences in fashion or fantasy…example.: If you had a chance to go anywhere in the world.. where would you go or where have you been?
What is your favorite pass time activity?
Who are your hero's?
Among your own achievements, what are you most proud of?
Who is this Portrait for?

Also considering to whom it will be given, I might ask What is his favorite view of you… be it legs, breast, eyes etc. In which case I will place emphasis on these areas in your portrait, with the best possible light or angle to compliment what he's most attracted to
